Lease Operator

About the role

A mid-level position responsible for the safe and efficient daily operations of our natural gas system, with the ability to perform duties independently or with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel to each location to gather, record, and report all relevant information (e.g., gauges, levels, fluids, pressures, production) accurately and consistently.
• Inspect locations for leaks, spills, and potential issues; report significant problems or production losses to a supervisor promptly.
• Record and process paperwork, inspections, timecards, and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair problems on location without supervision.
• Maintain and increase production through effective daily operations using available tools and equipment.
• Perform additional duties for which the employee is qualified and trained.

Requirements

• 2+ years of oilfield experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform daily tasks using hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Steady work history and strong work ethic.
• Goal-driven and forward-thinking mindset.
• Ability to learn and retain task knowledge.

Physical Demands and Exposures

• Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet/humid conditions, vibration, and dust.
• Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.
• Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs individually.
• Possible exposure to gas/liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
• Must wear flame-resistant (FR) clothing.
