Lease Funding Manager

About the Role

The Lease Funding Manager oversees the efficient and accurate funding of lease packages, collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize workflows. This position manages key operational areas including production, quality assurance, employee training, and adherence to service level agreements. The Manager evaluates funding scenarios outside established policies and serves as an escalation point for resolving conflicts involving internal customers, dealers, and Dealer Relationship Managers (DRMs).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure achievement of all funding objectives, including volume, turn time, portfolio performance, and legal and procedural compliance.
  • Manage lease processing production, work quality, and service levels.
  • Communicate professionally, accurately, and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain adherence to all Federal and State regulatory issues regarding Lease Funding.
  • Provide leadership, support, and motivation to the Lease Processing team(s).
  • Review escalated deals for exceptions and make decisions per company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor reports to ensure production and quality goals are achieved.
  • Develop, coordinate, and support training activities and staff development in line with SFS policies.
  • Maintain procedural manuals.
  • Evaluate performance versus established metrics, identify operational deficiencies, and implement improvement plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality due to regular access to consumers' personal information, including Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additionally, this role assists in managing departmental operations by supervising and guiding employees, overseeing daily activities, managing work schedules, and providing direction. The position holds authority for leading and directing daily work, assessing performance, and making decisions on hiring, termination, promotions, demotions, disciplinary actions, reassignment, or modifications to employee benefits in collaboration with senior management and Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the finance industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Team Lead, Assistant Manager, or Sr. Loan/Lease Processor in the finance industry.
  • High school diploma and/or GED.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of lease agreements, lease terminology, and leasing processes.
  • Strong analytical reasoning abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using lease software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple files effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Captive finance company and/or lease experience.

Schedule

This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs, including Monday through Friday and weekends as needed. Overtime is required on an as-needed basis. Travel is 0-10% as required.

Location

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ.
