Position Overview

The Learning Program Specialist is a critical role in Burlington's growth strategy to attract, develop, and retain top talent. They will foster a culture of learning with a primary focus on understanding, planning, and delivering holistic learning and development solutions for the merchandising organization. The Program Specialist will work with multiple business partners to identify development gaps and learning opportunities for key roles within the business.

About the Role

Oversee and coordinate established learning programs, serving as the program point-person, coordinator, and learning subject matter expert. Programs include on-the-job skills training, onboarding, and continued learning needs. Foster mutually beneficial partner relationships with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and business needs and recommend opportunities for continued improvement to training materials and program design. Collaborate with other specialist counterparts to deliver cohesive learning experiences across all learning programs and business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate established learning programs
  • Work with multiple business partners to identify development gaps and learning opportunities
  • Recommend and/or develop learning experiences incorporating other business tools and resources
  • Create and facilitate in-class training, eLearning, and facilitated classroom sessions
  • Conduct annual and ad hoc reviews of learning material with business partners and SMEs
  • Assess and update training materials to support desired business objectives and outcomes
  • Manage and report on learning program objectives, learner enrollment, and calendar management

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working within a merchandising organization (buying, planning, or merchandising operations) or in learning and development program development and/or management
  • Strong organization and planning skills to successfully drive learning program objectives
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Certificate in learning and development or project management a plus
  • Experience developing and facilitating effective learning material and experiences within programs
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Smartsheet preferred
  • Knowledge of learning management system structures preferred, ideally Workday Learning
  • Experience working with different styles of learning software including Articulate 360, Canva preferred
  • Flexibility to support the training and programs related to the roles they are responsible for

Min-Mid $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
