Learning Management Coordinator

About the Role

Axiom Space, a leader in human space exploration and commercial spaceflight, is seeking a Learning Management Coordinator to support our dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in administering our Learning Management System (LMS), driving learning technology improvements, and ensuring workforce readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LMS administration, learning technologies, and training program development, with a passion for space exploration and a commitment to our mission.

Responsibilities

• Administer the LMS, including course and user setup, curricula management, assignments, user support, troubleshooting, and records management.
• Develop and monitor workforce readiness tracking and learning data quality initiatives.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into training progress and qualifications, using analytical and statistical capabilities.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create custom content, including learning competency assessments.
• Coordinate with program leaders to develop role-based competency training plans.
• Evaluate company needs and plan training programs accordingly, including content governed by contracts and regulatory agencies.
• Review and monitor system performance, serving as the primary vendor interface when needed.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and AI-enabled learning solutions aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) or learning technology platform.
• Proficiency with learning technologies and content-development tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of human resources experience.
• Experience applying adult learning principles to develop engaging, practical learning solutions.

Work Environment

Primarily an office environment, but may involve inside or outside work depending on tasks. May require working evenings and weekends to meet project milestones.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. (5% of the time).

Additional Requirements

This position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, ITAR, or EAR. Final candidates may undergo additional export control screening. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
