Learning Guide

About the role

The Learning Guide role at Moonrise is a part-time position designed to support and guide kids aged 5 and up in their learning and creative endeavors. Guides are expected to engage with risers in an open-ended environment, fostering a sense of individuality and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Get to know each riser as a unique individual.
• Guide learning experiences and help risers work through projects and challenges.
• Engage with risers in a warm, positive, energetic, and friendly manner.
• Lead a variety of learning experiences and thrive in open-ended environments.
• Motivate and inspire risers without using force.
• Be professional, responsible, and timely in all interactions.
• Prioritize hands-on learning methods over tests and lectures.
• Communicate effectively with parents about riser progress and needs.
• Contribute to Moonrise's mission of supporting kids' development and learning.
• Treat risers with respect and seriousness.

Requirements

• Must have prior experience working with children.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours and schedule available, with a minimum requirement of 10 hours per week.
• Pay rate is $20 per hour.
• A background check is required.
