On-site position in Springfield, MA (assistance with relocation available).

About the Role

Do you see a student reach 99% and feel compelled to help them finish? The greatest support you can offer a child who achieves 99% of their target is to insist they reach 100%. If that expectation feels unreasonable, this position may not suit you. If it energizes you—because you understand that maintaining high standards demonstrates your confidence in their ability—continue reading.

Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full academic day in roughly two hours using adaptive technology. No traditional lessons. No physical textbooks. Your role centers on what software cannot provide: guiding Pre-K through 8th grade students in essential capabilities like public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. You'll spend half your time facilitating structured, hands-on workshops using prepared materials and narrative techniques. The remaining time involves individual and small-group sessions where you examine student performance in adaptive platforms via Coachbot analytics and drive them toward completing 100% of weekly objectives. Students demonstrate competency through Test2Pass evaluations, not attendance-based grades.

This position demands excellence. Your first year focuses on mastering the framework: workshop delivery, motivational coaching, competency verification, and ensuring every student reaches 100% of their targets. Succeed in these areas and advancement to Lead Guide becomes available. You must combine warmth, commanding presence, and uncompromising standards.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating hour-long workshops focused on essential capabilities—public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback skills—adjusting your delivery and intensity for Pre-K through 8th grade audiences.
  • Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions to examine each student's adaptive learning performance (via Coachbot analytics), establish objectives, and ensure they complete 100% of weekly benchmarks.
  • Overseeing and assessing Test2Pass evaluations to verify genuine mastery of each capability, distinguishing between true competency and mere attendance.
  • Deploying focused interventions when students lag academically or in participation—diagnosing underlying issues and creating targeted recovery strategies.
  • Cultivating authentic connections with every student so they trust your guidance through challenges, distraction, and moments of uncertainty.
  • Guarantee that every student in your assigned group develops a love for learning, achieves mastery in fundamental life capabilities, and completes 100% of their academic objectives using adaptive learning technology.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lectures or conventional subject instruction (core academics are addressed through adaptive platforms, not through your direct teaching).
  • Creating original lesson plans or curriculum materials (Alpha supplies structured life skills frameworks; your responsibility is executing them with compelling energy and narrative).
  • Handling family communications or administrative duties (Campus Leads manage those areas; your attention remains on students).
  • Evaluating assignments or preparing students for standardized exams (these elements don't exist in this model).
  • Operating independently (you function within a campus team alongside Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and maintain mutual accountability).

Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Four-year degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum three years working directly with Pre-K through 8th grade students (in teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management capacities).
  • Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching Pre-K through 8th grade students toward academic, behavioral, athletic, or activity-based objectives, including at least one concrete example you can articulate (the objective, your specific actions, and the result achieved).
  • Comfort with a coaching-centered approach where subject instruction is delivered exclusively through the learning platform. Your function is motivating and guiding, not instructing in core academics.
  • Regular use of generative AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
  • Prepared to work on-site at Alpha's Springfield, MA location (assistance with relocation provided).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth sports coaching, camp direction, or after-school program management where you held direct responsibility for driving children toward measurable objectives.
  • History of notable personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive sports achievements, or leadership positions demanding consistent high performance).
  • Innate ability to engage through storytelling: you can maintain Pre-K through 8th grade attention for an hour without escalating volume.
  • Success re-engaging unmotivated or resistant students and converting them into committed participants.
  • Experience supporting students who receive special education accommodations.
