About the role

The Learning Experience Designer at Farmers is responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing learning and performance improvement solutions to enhance competencies and effectiveness of all levels of the organization. This role partners with various departments to design and develop solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts needs analysis for new and existing courses and designs and develops training curriculum, certificate programs, and materials for instructor-led, video, or virtual platforms.
  • Makes recommendations on modifications to solution design and uses adult learning practices and technologies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Consults with school leads, line of business representatives, and subject matter experts to design and develop solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Analyzes business results and learner success to identify opportunities and improve results.
  • Learns and participates in business activities such as team meetings, huddles, and town halls to consult on learning solutions and improve results.
  • Stays updated on business changes and collaborates with master trainers, field trainers, and internal trainers to assist with measurement, facilitation, and evaluation of learning and performance solutions.
  • Develops recommendations based on findings and provides informed recommendations on selecting technology tools to drive expected outcomes.
  • Responsible for establishing tracking to measure business results generated through learning and performance improvement solutions and tools (instructor-led, e-learning, job aids, coaching, learning management systems, and other learning technologies).

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in instructional design or educational content development.
  • Experience in designing scalable learning solutions (classroom, virtual, and/or online).
  • Experience with visual design, storyboarding, course-building and editing.
  • Experience with Storyline, Captivate, HTML5, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or video editing.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with coinciding deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using the suite of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time with coinciding deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using the suite of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint.
