Come build scalable, authentic learning experiences that will shape the next generation of engineers and project managers across Amazon Robotics (AR). We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer focused on continuous learning and development to join the Transformative Learning Solutions team.

About the role

The Learning Experience Designer will design and develop engaging, immersive learning experiences that meet the needs of our clients and learners. The successful candidate will have a passion for learning design, a creative mindset, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals.
  • Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.
  • Design and develop skills-based learning programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall learning strategy and business objectives.
  • Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends and best practices in learning experience design to ensure the development of impactful learning programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to other Learning Experience Designers on instructional design methodologies, learning experience best practices, and emerging trends in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Organizational Development.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in instructional design or a related field, with a strong track record of creating impactful learning experiences.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience in project and program management and delivering key business outcomes.
  • Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks.
  • Experience with adult learning instructional design methods and best practices.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Visio, etc.), Articulate 360, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in learning design is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience integrating generative AI tools into professional workflows to augment productivity or content quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project, program, or product management with focus on technical education programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Xyleme (LCMS).

Pay

USA, TX, Austin - $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
