Learning Design Trainer
Summary of Job Duties
The Learning Design Trainer supports the Office of Innovation for Education (OIE) by designing and delivering high-quality coaching, consulting, and professional learning experiences for K–12 educators and administrators across Arkansas. This role emphasizes Cognitive Coaching, systems-level improvement, and the development of student-centered learning environments. In collaboration with the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), this position supports learning, innovation, and continuous improvement at the school and district levels. The role focuses on sustainability and capacity building through structured data use, strategic planning, and targeted support for both improvement-focused and innovative schools.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in education or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
- Certified Cognitive Coaching Trainer
- Experience facilitating professional learning for educators
- At least three years of K–12 teaching or leadership experience
- Experience with: Standards-based grading, Competency-based learning, and Personalized learning
- Valid teaching or administrative license
Additional Information
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
