About the role

Clothes Less Traveled (CLT) Thrift Shops have provided over $9.5 million in support to those in need since our founding in 1997. We reinvest funds into 100+ charities across Fayette and Coweta Counties through grants, scholarships, and vouchers.

Grants

• 84 charities are currently eligible for grants from CLT.
• Annual Grants are awarded each April.
• Service Award Grants are given throughout the year by volunteers, staff, and board members.
• In 2026, CLT has already awarded 73 Annual Grants and 7 Service Award Grants.

Scholarships

• High school seniors who volunteer 40+ hours and college students volunteering at least 20 hours at our thrift shops are eligible to apply.
• Since 1997, CLT has awarded $280,000 in scholarships to support college-bound students.
• Top volunteers may receive the Dick and Jan Allis Service Scholarships.
• Scholarships are awarded annually in the spring.
• Volunteering toward a scholarship can begin as soon as you start high school.

Vouchers

• Individuals and families in need receive vouchers through partner organizations such as local Saint Vincent de Paul Societies, the Real Life Center, and Promise Place.
• Approved voucher clients shop for free at our Peachtree City location for clothing, household essentials, and furniture.
