About the role
The Lean Manager supports the development and optimization of manufacturing processes using practical engineering knowledge to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in production environments. This role is designed for experienced professionals who can work independently with general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Apply lean manufacturing principles at the factory level to achieve operational business targets.
- Support manufacturing improvements through tooling and equipment design and equipment specification development.
- Improve On Time Delivery and Lead Times through continuous flow, layout optimization, pull-system, and speed up flows by coaching and/or leading lean principles workshops.
- Contribute to the Factory Improvement Plan.
- Review and challenge continuous improvement plans and cost-saving projections, providing feedback that drives additional improvements.
- Support continuous failure analysis in collaboration with affected areas.
- Improve Root Cause Analysis knowledge and utilization within the organization.
- Prepare and submit performance reports as required.
- Support corporate initiatives as defined by the Management Team.
Qualifications
- Experienced in applying practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Knowledge of tooling and equipment design and equipment specification development.
- Experience in continuous flow, layout optimization, and pull-system implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead lean principles workshops.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and continuous improvement planning.
