About the role

The purpose of this position is to perform lead role responsibilities on the 1st shift (5am-1:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Follows specific requirements of a particular job order.
• Fabricates according to daily production requirements.
• Communicates and instructs entry-level employees in various phases.
• Follows specific directions from the department supervisor and ensures these directions are carried out.
• Ensures the area is kept organized and 5S procedures and policies are followed.
• Partners with the department manager in the absence of the supervisor.
• Audits completed product to assure it meets order requirements and YKK quality standards.
• Communicates non-conforming product issues to department personnel.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Sets up machines and equipment.
• Performs activities of workers in the department.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.

Physical Requirements

• Job requires constant lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for a minimum of ten (10) hours.
• Job requires stooping, bending, and kneeling.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED (minimum).
• At least three years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a fabrication or production environment, with at least 6 months in a leadership role.
• Good math skills.
• Vigilant about safety.
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.82 - $22.84, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
