About the Role
We are seeking an experienced construction leader to join our team and take charge of the day-to-day operations of our division. As our Leadman, you will play a crucial role in implementing plans and policies, providing technical and administrative direction, and ensuring profitability.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and implementing divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structure while adhering to the boundaries set by executive management and corporate policy.
- Developing, directing, and monitoring short-term and long-term plans that align with overall profit and growth objectives for the division and company.
- Planning, staffing, and supervising all division activities, including human resource and/or payroll administration, performance management, defining functions, responsibilities, power-to-act, and more. You will liaise with the Human Resources Director on corporate initiatives to ensure compliance and accountability to human resources and/or payroll processes.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinate managers in identifying potential clients and desired project scopes.
- Conferring with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorizing divisional operational procedures, reviewing and approving estimates as required, and reviewing and approving change orders or other variants.
- Initiating and maintaining liaison with prime clients and other professional contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.
- Maintaining a positive financial posture for assigned division projects and monitoring cost analysis activities on a routine basis.
- Championing corporate safety initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to our industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal/human relations skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, and lead through influence – with the purpose of driving change and delivering positive outcomes.
- Values and incorporates contributions of people from diverse backgrounds.
