ABM is hiring a Leadership Development Manager to manage and deliver high-quality learning and training initiatives for a large, strategic national client. This individual contributor role reports to the Vice President of Learning and Talent Development and partners closely with Operational Leadership to execute leadership development and talent programs that support day-to-day performance and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of leadership development, skills training, and talent management programs, ensuring measurable impact on performance and engagement.
  • Partner closely with Operational Leadership to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted, scalable development solutions across multiple management levels.
  • Own and drive key talent processes, including assessments, performance enablement, and succession planning, to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with functional CoEs, Operations, and other business units to ensure alignment and integration of learning initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Develop and deliver innovative learning experiences using a variety of methodologies (e.g., instructor-led, virtual, experiential, and self-directed learning).
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through data, feedback, and performance metrics; continuously refine offerings to improve outcomes and ROI.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by coaching and consulting on individual or team topics.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges and deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design (ADDIE and Kirkpatrick models).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, high-impact learning solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Data-driven mindset to accurately assess program effectiveness, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver practical, innovative solutions.
  • Proficient across all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experienced business traveler.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or administration management, facilities management, human resources, education, or military or Human Resources.
  • 5 plus years in a leadership role.
  • 5 plus years of training design and delivery.
  • 8-10 plus years in learning and development or training industry; or applicable work experience.

Schedule

  • Hybrid role (in office Mon-Thu) with up to 25% national travel.
  • Based in Dallas, Sugar Land, Austin, or San Antonio, TX.
