Leadership Caregiver

About the Role

Right At Home in Home Care, located in Wallingford, CT and Watertown, CT, is seeking lead Caregivers to provide care to elderly clients in their homes. This role involves supporting older adults in their homes and performing leadership tasks such as covering urgent shifts, mentorship, supervisory visits, PPE deliveries, and providing assistance in the office when needed.

Targeted areas include Wallingford, Meriden, Middletown, Southington, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Watertown, Woodbury, and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for high school seniors, college students, retirees, and veterans.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, and shaving
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores
• Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Deliver dementia care and companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles
• Cover urgent shifts and perform supervisory visits
• Mentor other caregivers and assist with PPE deliveries
• Provide office support as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a full employment background check
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate with minimal assistance

Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• CNA or HHA Certification
• 6 months of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (preferred)
• COVID-19 vaccination
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Pay

Salary: $17.50–$22.00 per hour

Schedule
