About the Role
The US SLED vision is redefining business through the power of people and technology. This Regional Sales Leader role will manage a team of Strategic and Best-in-class Account Managers in territory and leverage a broader connected team in the SLED-DE-MD-WV Region. You will develop and execute sales strategy and tactics that enhance Cisco opportunity within the customer environment, positioning and promoting Cisco’s value proposition to both customers and partners.
As an RSM, you are involved in positioning and promoting Customer Business & Political drivers, leading account managers in the development and expansion of opportunities in the state, municipal, and education community (SLED), and reinforcing existing relationships. This role involves direct customer contact, sales planning, accurate forecasting, and delivering on quota.
Responsibilities
- Lead a dispersed account team with both direct and indirect reports and extended teams.
- Develop and execute sales strategy and tactics to enhance Cisco opportunity within the customer environment.
- Responsible for an annual booking/quota, sales planning, and accurate forecasting.
- Position and promote Cisco’s value proposition to customers and partners.
- Lead Account Executives in the development and expansion of opportunities in the SLED market.
- Reinforce existing customer and partner relationships.
- Make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process.
- Build and maintain a positive work environment, fostering trust and respect among your team and the partner ecosystem.
- Manage multi-million-dollar budgets for product and service offerings.
Requirements
- 10+ years of technology sales and/or strategic leadership experience.
- Strong background in high performance, executive-level communication, and building customer and partner relationships.
- Strategic technical knowledge and ability to succeed as a leader and mentor in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Experience with territory planning, segmentation, and revenue production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a high-performance sales team.
- Clear understanding of Public Sector Procurement Policies and Public Sector buying cycles.
- Solid track record of leading large accounts, including forecasting, quota attainment, and sales presentations.
- Experience managing short/mid/long-term opportunity management.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $329,800.00 to $445,500.00 (U.S. and/or Canada locations), not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
For quota-based sales roles, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays:
- 0.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota.
- 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%.
- 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%.
- Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Sales plans do not have a minimum threshold for incentive compensation to be paid.
Full salary ranges by location:
- New York City Metro Area: $366,600.00 - $543,100.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $329,800.00 - $512,400.00
