Responsibilities
- Lead recreational and intermediate team practices indoors and outdoors
- Lead recreational and intermediate teams at local competitions
- Auxiliary support for the Youth Program Manager in communicating with team families about events, goals, and progress
- Auxiliary support for the Youth Program Manager in maintaining a structured curriculum and tracking climber progress for the recreational and intermediate teams
- Maintain a high level of personal climbing knowledge and stay up to date with youth coaching best practices
- Support outreach efforts, including social media content and in-gym promotion
Qualifications
- Extensive personal climbing experience (3+ years)
- Experience coaching or competing in the USA Climbing Youth Series (2+ years)
- Ability to onsight V5 minimum
- Familiarity with best practices in youth climbing safety and training
- USA Climbing Coach and/or Routesetting certification (Level 1+) preferred
- CWI preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to acquire
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team mindset
Pay & Benefits
Hourly rate starting at $20.00/hour, negotiable with experience
