Job Summary
Lead Staff (shift leads) are members of a care-team responsible for leading and maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents that is conducive to their well-being. The position involves assessing group dynamics and resident needs, promoting improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning, and supporting achievement of treatment goals through engagement in healthy and productive daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.
- Maintain a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our adolescent clients.
- Supervise youth and know their whereabouts at all times.
- Facilitate crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clients.
- Incorporate client treatment objectives into the individual care of residents.
- Transport and supervise clients at designated activities and appointments.
- Follow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.
- Accurately complete and review shift documentation.
- Train new hires following the defined training program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human/social services related field preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with a youth population in a residential setting is preferred but not required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must be caring and resilient.

Work Schedule
- Nine-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
- Shifts scheduled every other weekend are required.
- Shifts are typically scheduled within the timeframe of 6am and 6pm.
- Holiday rotation is required.
