About the role
University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages, and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers, and other medical facilities. It also serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.
This position is for a Full-Time Lead X-Ray/Dexa/Mammography Technologist at our Tinton Falls, NJ Imaging Office.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill all the requirements of a Staff Technologist
- Serve as liaison between radiologists, clinical staff, and management
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle patient communication appropriately
- Ensure effective communication with vendors and service personnel
- Keep up to date with established departmental policies and procedures, including informing staff in your modality
- Assist in obtaining ACR/MQSA certification for Mammography
- Participate in quality assurance activities, completing all required documentation for continuous improvement of patient care
- Assist with the maintenance of supplies and equipment; notify team members regarding equipment downtime
- Perform all quality control testing as established by the manufacturer and Radiation Safety Officer
- Work schedule may change requiring evening or weekend shifts based on staffing, volume, and unexpected issues
- Responsible for taking calls from staff when they need to call out or come in late
- Provide feedback to management and may be required to complete employee performance evaluations
- Perform additional duties as required
- Responsible for technologist EQUIP
- May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must adhere to all department and facility safety protocols
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(M) certification
- 5+ years of current diagnostic 3D mammography experience
- NJ State License and CPR certification
- Graduate of an accredited program

Pay
From $46/hour. The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0–5 years of experience. Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education, and operational needs.
