Responsibilities
- Support Money Transfer System applications (Domestic and International).
- Provide day-to-day support / operational activities related to Payment Broker, EMTS, and GMTS, including alert handling, incident taking care, start of day/end of day activities, service requests, changes, and problem management.
- Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams.
- Work as a key participant in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area.
- Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems.
- Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements.
- Consult with engineering team on change design requiring a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives.
- Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 2 years of application support experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Wire processing experience.
- Automation and Scripting experience with Shell and/or Python.
- Experience in supporting zLinux & broker applications.
- Experience in automation using any of scripting (Shell/Perl/Python).
- Experience in IBM MQ Series.
- Experience in ITIL processes (Change, Incident and Problem Management) for Application Support.
Job Expectations
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide leadership during major production incidents.
- The position will require onsite presence at one of the posted locations.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
