Responsibilities
- Empower clients to have an outstanding experience.
- Develop a strong relationship with clients and address their needs and concerns.
- Perform physical examinations, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to ensure quality care.
- Communicate findings and develop a treatment plan for pets.
- Educate clients on preventive health care, including vaccinations and nutritional products.
- Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and collaborate with colleagues for follow-up and future care.
- Stay updated with the latest medical information and participate in continuing education.
- Aid in developing the paraprofessional team to ensure top-quality care.
- Represent the clinic positively in the professional community and to the public.
- Support veterinary technicians and assistants as needed.
- Participate in self-improvement courses and comply with Chewy Vet Care's policies and procedures.
- Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by law and company policies.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree is required.
- Active State license in good standing, DEA license, and other required credentials.
- 2-3 years of experience in general medicine and surgery; residency or internship training is preferred.
- 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
- Multi-task effectively with integrity and accountability.
- Show excellent listening and problem-solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Collaborate well with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment.
- Be passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service.
- Have the ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced, self-starting environment.
Physical Job Requirements
- Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
- Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
- Sometimes lift more than 70 pounds using a team lift.
- Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $232,500.00. Specific salary offers may vary based on factors like experience, education, and work location. Additional benefits include:

Pay
The base salary for this role ranges from $145,000 to $232,500 annually. The exact amount offered will depend on various factors including experience, qualifications, and work location.
