About the role

Westfield Veterinary Group, Union is currently seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join their expanding team. The position is based in Union, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care including urgent and critical care, hospitalized care, specialty referrals, exotic pet appointments, wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and end-of-life services.
  • Collaborate with a team of over 60 dedicated professionals to deliver exceptional care to pets and families.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to ensure timely diagnostics and advanced general care.
  • Elevate emergency services by managing a state-of-the-art facility in Union.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution.
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey.
  • Experience in emergency and critical care, surgery, dentistry, and end-of-life services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
