Lead Tool & Die Maker

Responsibilities Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill press, and EDM machines.Machine, fit, and assemble precision tooling and verify conformance to drawing specifications.Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth mics, indicators, pin gauges, thread gauges, and functional gauges.Troubleshoot dies and recommend design improvements.Maintain accurate tooling documentation and records.Assist in troubleshooting die issues in operation to maintain quality and production.Work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure that the tools and dies they produce meet the needs of the manufacturing process.Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Live and Act according to our Code of Ethics and Basic Beliefs Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Tool and Die MakerFluent in English, SWEP's corporate language. Personal skills Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.Good working knowledge of standard shop mathematics.Able to read and interpret technical prints, sketches, and design models.Knowledge of metal and other material properties.Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.Good communication skillsPC skills (MS Office applications – Excel, Word)
