Lead Toddler Teacher - (Contract)

Summary

Nestlé Purina Child Development Center is seeking multiple Lead Toddler teachers. Join an experienced and committed team in a NAEYC-accredited early childhood center located on Purina’s campus in downtown St. Louis. Responsibilities

• Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities
• Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests
• Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing
• Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills
• Build schedules and routines for the students
• Strategically plan the curriculum to target areas related to child development such as social, motor, and language skills
• Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students
• Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection
• Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve
• Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules
• Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 of the following:
• An Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field
• CDA Certification
• 2+ years of experience working in early childhood
