Lead Toddler Teacher
Wu Yee Children’s Services seeks experienced Lead Toddler Teachers committed to providing high-quality early learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Located in San Francisco, we operate 12 centers serving the community's most vulnerable families.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements curricula based on child assessment data and school readiness goals.
- Visual supervision of children at all times, ensuring compliance with the required teacher:child ratio.
- Maintains a safe and inclusive environment by monitoring daily activities, addressing special family support needs, and implementing necessary services.
- Completes and oversees formal classroom observations and assessments, creating action plans for program improvements.
- Collaborates with the Center Manager on professional development plans for teaching staff.
- Safeguards IFSP/IEP goals through integration in lesson plans and classroom routines.
- Conducts parent-teacher conferences, home visits, case conferences, multi-disciplinary meetings, and directs resource referrals.
- Models and teaches appropriate social skills, health, and hygiene practices, including tooth brushing, toilet training, hand washing, etc.
Requirements
- Valid California Teaching Permit
- A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field with 24 units in ECE
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Experience as a Lead Infant Toddler and Lead Toddler
- Two years of teaching experience with young children
- Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $42.58 - $45.94 per hour
- Additional $150 per pay period stipend at Golden Gate & Kirkwood Centers
- 403(b) with matching contribution after 1 year of service
