Lead Toddler Teacher

About the role

Cornerstone Learning Center–Southwind is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher for the Toddler classroom. We are a family‑oriented, close‑knit organization that values a fun, positive work environment and open‑door communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center’s philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take initiative, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements for the betterment of the program.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass all required background checks.
• One year of previous childcare experience (preferred).
• Physical ability to work around small children: sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb and fulfill all physical demands of the role.

Pay

$15–16 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm.
