Lead Toddler Teacher
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated early childhood educator with extensive experience leading toddler classrooms. As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment utilizing the High Scope curriculum. With the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher, you will foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth through hands-on play-based learning experiences, while building strong partnerships with families and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead a toddler classroom using the High Scope curriculum
- Create a developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play-based learning
- Build strong partnerships with families
- Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers
Requirements
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential (required)
- Bachelor's or associate degree in early childhood education, child development, or a child-related field (preferred)
- Minimum of one year of experience in a toddler classroom (required)
- CPR certification (required for all teaching staff; may be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Willingness to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
Pay
$15–$20/hour (based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education)
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
