Lead Toddler Playschool Teacher

About the role

Apart from being a part-time early education teacher for our Toddler Playschool, you will collaborate with a co-teacher to develop and implement creative lesson plans that incorporate art, music, and movement. The focus of our Toddler Playschool program is play, which helps children learn social interaction, cooperation, following rules, developing self-control, and building confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and loving classroom environment
• Develop and implement creative lesson plans incorporating art, music, and movement
• Foster curiosity in learning, exploration, social emotional confidence, and self-help skills
• Collaborate with your co-teacher to ensure daily operations in the classroom run smoothly
• Meet the needs of the children in the class
• Physically lift up to 35 lbs and assist children on the floor

Requirements

• A high school degree at a minimum, with a bachelor’s degree preferred
• EEC teacher certification is a plus
• Reliable, professional, kind, and energetic
• Loves working with toddlers and works well in a team setting

• Caring towards children, families, and colleagues
• Communicates well with children, families, and colleagues

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Comfortable getting up and down to sit on the floor with children

Monday to Friday mornings, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. 3-5 days per week. Start September 2026, continue through the 26/27 school year*
