Lead Technical Accounting Analyst

About the role

This position offers a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and external auditors in a regulated, public-company environment. You'll lead technical accounting evaluations, gain hands-on involvement in SEC reporting, and own emerging and complex accounting matters while partnering with Finance, Treasury, and operational teams. The role provides a clear path for career growth within technical accounting and leadership tracks, with a hybrid schedule in downtown Minneapolis and a strong compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex and non-routine transactions for proper GAAP treatment
• Support SEC filings through technical analysis and detailed documentation
• Research and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes
• Partner cross-functionally to assess financial impact of business initiatives
• Communicate accounting conclusions and recommendations to leadership and auditors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting guidance
• Experience with SEC reporting and applying guidance to complex transactions

Pay

$125,000–$160,000 + 15% bonus

Hybrid – onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in downtown Minneapolis, MN
