Responsibilities

• Supervise a team supporting the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and troubleshooting of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on airborne and simulation lab communication platforms.
• Be a subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project engineering and management.
• Manage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction on and off-site.
• Communicate within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
• Provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
• Responsible for managing engineering team during travel to offsite facilities for integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with communications and presentations to internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to read & interpret technical specifications, engineering blueprints, test procedures, and technical publications.
• Demonstrated experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware.
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite, Visio, Teamcenter, DOORS, etc.
• Demonstrated experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead technical teams through an entire annual sustainment cycle.
• Ability to travel domestically :10%, or more, based on business needs.
