Lead System Engineering

Duties

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable enterprise solutions by defining architecture across the vertical technology stack, including application platforms, distributed services, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure through functional, performance, and reliability analysis.
• Design scalable system architectures and define technical solutions for enterprise platforms supporting high‑volume distributed applications.
• Define and elaborate system architecture, component designs, subsystem interfaces, and integration models supporting enterprise platforms.
• Align development teams to a shared technical direction and collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable and resilient system solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise applications and distributed microservices utilizing Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Docker, supporting containerized deployments.
• Develop and integrate modern web‑based user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and JSON, supporting component‑based frontend architectures and integration with backend APIs.
• Design and support data architectures utilizing Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL), MySQL for transactional systems, and Cassandra for distributed data platforms.
• Define system interaction models, performance‑optimization strategies, and non‑functional requirements including scalability, availability, resiliency, and security.
• Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and support containerized deployments.
• Participate in system planning and architecture reviews, evaluate technology alternatives, and support development of the Architectural Runway for new enterprise capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate Artificial Intelligence technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), into enterprise applications for intelligent automation, conversational interfaces, and enhanced developer productivity.
• Enable Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution Architects, and development teams to implement architectural enablers supporting enterprise platforms.
• Develop full‑stack applications integrating frontend and backend technologies.
• Design scalable application architectures, including service decomposition, API‑first integration models, and distributed system communication patterns.
• Define system components, subsystem interfaces, and deployment architectures supporting enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Design and support high‑availability, high‑volume transactional systems.
• Perform database schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Deploy or support applications in cloud computing environments including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement performance tuning, scalability optimization, and reliability improvements across application and data layers.
• Work in Agile or Scrum‑based software development environments supporting iterative delivery and continuous integration practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Docker.
• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and JSON for modern web UI development.
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL), MySQL, and Cassandra for data platform design and management.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Artificial Intelligence technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), into enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated ability to develop full‑stack applications and design scalable architectures (service decomposition, API‑first, distributed communication patterns).
• Expertise defining system components, subsystem interfaces, and deployment architectures for enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Experience designing and supporting high‑availability, high‑volume transactional systems.
• Strong skills in database schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Experience deploying or supporting applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven ability to implement performance tuning, scalability optimization, and reliability improvements across application and data layers.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum‑based development environments.

Pay

Annual compensation ranges from $170,000 to $237,400.
