Responsibilities
- Lead the selection, sizing, and configuration of power‑quality‑based systems (e.g., rotating stabilizer, STATCOM) and related equipment.
- Selection and sizing of MV/LV VSD‑based systems for Oil & Gas projects (added advantage).
- Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations, drawings, and proposal inputs.
- Apply deep knowledge of key components such as VSD, SFC, transformer, filters, motor, and other power‑system equipment.
- Develop and review system SLD, protection SLD, and layout preparation for large‑system projects.
- Perform system design and analysis for VSD/SFC and power‑quality solutions across industrial and utility applications.
- Support Business Verticals in creating and reviewing system solutions (with leadership) as part of the ITO/OTR process, ensuring technical fit‑for‑purpose and managing technical risk with contingencies.
- Analyze customer contracts, prepare specifications for vendors and internal stakeholders, and produce technical documentation per contractual requirements; review vendor documentation.
- Prepare high‑quality proposal inputs, technical write‑ups, and solution configurations that differentiate GE Vernova’s offerings in competitive tenders.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Review developed solutions and identify opportunities for improvement of processes, systems, or equipment.
- Support implementation of agreed process and technology improvements identified through project experience and lessons learned.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer EHS policies and procedures.
- Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions, and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership.
- Foster relationships with other GE Vernova business entities to maximize synergy benefits.
- Liaise with Platform Engineering, Technology, Value Engineering, and Supply Chain to support projects and the business.
- Liaise with other GE Vernova businesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub‑contractors, and suppliers as appropriate.
- Drive a lean mindset to provide optimum technical solutions for projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable college/university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project/design engineering for power‑quality or VSD projects in industry, marine, oil & gas, or power domains.
- Knowledge and application of international standards.
- Ability to adapt and multitask with project/application engineers.
- Analytical and innovative approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with PLM and Primavera (added advantage).
