Join our team as a day-shift, full-time, Surgery Lead Surgical Technician in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

• Serves as ‘lead’ in their functional area and coordinates special project assignments.
• Assists surgeons with surgical procedures within the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, including conveying sterile instruments and supplies used in basic to complex surgical procedures.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or hospital‑based program
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques
• Knowledge of operating room instruments and supplies
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Six (6) months’ experience in an acute care hospital‑based operating room or ambulatory surgery center
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Preferred: Certified
• Preferred: 1 year of OR experience
• Preferred: CORT or CST certification
