About the role
The Construction Superintendent coordinates all activities related to construction for an assigned project. This role requires a proven track record of meeting production, quality and customer service standards in a multi-family and residential housing environment. The Construction Superintendent must take responsibility for ensuring projects are being delivered on time and within prescribed budgets.
Responsibilities
- Project Management – Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate, and manage the overall project through project management tools and software.
- Construction Management – Manage horizontal and vertical construction for assigned projects. Must have a vast knowledge base of common construction terms and practices.
- Vendor Management – Solicit, coordinate, supervise, and manage rapport with work performed by outside vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Product Research – Stay knowledgeable and educated on the best tools and materials for construction based on value and quality for current and future projects.
- Bid Solicitation – Send plans and specifications to potential bidders to contract materials and work.
- Bookkeeping – Work directly with construction bookkeepers to manage and coordinate all reporting and financial dashboards.
- Permits – Coordinate all permits with the city to follow all ordinances and regulations.
- Change Orders – Manage and approve work that falls outside the original scope to complete a project successfully.
- Issue Resolution – Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve engineering and management project issues.
- Safety & Quality – Comply with all relevant safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Reporting – Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 4+ years experience as a Superintendent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- OSHA-30 Certification preferred.
