Lead Studio Engineer

About the role

We're seeking a Lead Studio Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role requires a tech-savvy problem solver with expertise in IP networks, studio operations, and broadcast technology.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs critical broadcasting components to ensure all systems are functioning at peak efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of issues with broadcast and IT equipment.
• Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to perform efficiently and successfully.
• Collaborates with technology suppliers on setup, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Programs/customizes equipment software functionality.
• Tracks and assists users with equipment issues.
• Makes recommendations for products and service enhancements.
• Works with the Network Ops leadership team to address operational issues and facilitate decision-making regarding technical matters.

Requirements

• Ace in IT and/or broadcast engineering with 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Digital audio/video workflows and distribution.
• Experience with KU band satellite uplink and downlink systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.

Skills

• Vendor support relations.
• Previous television engineering experience.
