Clark Pacific · West Sacramento, CA · 2 mo ago
On-siteDesign$140k–$200k/yrFull-time

About the Role

At Clark Pacific, you'll do more than design buildings—you'll shape the future of how they're built. For more than 63 years, Clark Pacific has been a leader in prefabricated building systems, transforming the construction industry through innovative engineering, manufacturing, and design-build solutions. Our engineers don't just design structures—they collaborate directly with manufacturing, project management, and field operations to deliver some of the nation's most complex healthcare, commercial, industrial, advanced manufacturing, and mission-critical facilities. If you're an experienced Structural Engineer looking for more technical ownership, greater project influence, and a clear path toward Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Technical Leadership, we'd like to talk with you.

Location: West Sacramento, CA

Competitive Compensation: $140,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience.

Why Engineers Join Clark Pacific

Many structural engineers spend years designing individual components. At Clark Pacific, you'll gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle: structural engineering, building system development, manufacturing, design-build delivery, construction coordination, and field installation. You'll see your designs become reality while collaborating with engineers, manufacturing teams, and field operations from concept through installation.

This Role Is Ideal For Engineers Who Want To

  • Lead larger and more technically challenging projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Influence engineering standards and best practices.
  • Expand beyond calculations into project leadership.
  • Work directly with manufacturing and construction teams.
  • Build the experience needed for future Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead structural design and engineering analysis for complex precast concrete building systems.
  • Develop structural calculations for concrete and steel systems.
  • Solve challenging engineering problems throughout design, fabrication, and construction.
  • Coordinate directly with Project Managers, Manufacturing, BIM, and Field Operations.
  • Mentor Structural Engineers and Project Engineers.
  • Support technical reviews and engineering quality.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams during project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement and engineering innovation.
  • Support constructability reviews and prefabrication strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred).
  • PE or SE License preferred.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Strong background in reinforced concrete, steel design, and structural analysis.
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for solving complex structural challenges.

Why Clark Pacific?

This isn't just another consulting engineering position. You'll work on projects that include: hospitals, data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, parking structures, commercial buildings, and mission-critical facilities.

You'll collaborate daily with: Structural Engineers, BIM Modelers, Project Managers, Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Operations. Unlike many consulting firms, you'll experience the entire lifecycle of a building—from concept through fabrication and installation.

Whether your goal is to become a Lead Structural Engineer, Engineering Manager, Technical Specialist, or Subject Matter Expert, Clark Pacific provides opportunities to continue growing your career while working on increasingly complex projects.
