Lead Structural Engineer

About the role

You'll play a key role in the continued growth of a Greenville-area engineering presence, helping strengthen client relationships, support project delivery, mentor engineers, and contribute to the long-term success of the office. You'll be backed by an established and highly respected structural engineering practice with a strong reputation throughout the Southeast, deep technical resources, and a substantial backlog of work.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in expanding and strengthening a growing local office presence.
• Support project delivery and contribute to the long-term success of the office.
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape team growth.
• Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted technical resource.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the office and help shape its future.
• Work on a diverse range of projects including industrial, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, adaptive reuse, renovation, data center, and specialty structures.

Requirements

• Experience as a structural engineer.
• Strong client relationship-building skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Visible role with significant client interaction and influence on project success.
• Technical expertise in various types of structural designs.
• Leadership experience in project management and team development.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
