About the role
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Structural Analysis Engineer to join the Air Dominance team in Berkeley, MO. This program supports the next generation of fighter aircraft, focusing on full-scale and component testing, test instruction authoring, correlation analysis, and FEM verification activities. The role requires the ability to work independently and lead a team of Structures Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Structures Engineers developing test plans and configurations in support of structural testing.
- Support test execution and analyze test results to validate and verify structure meets requirements.
- Coordinate with internal/external customers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with ASIP and other requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical support as required.
- Work independently with minimal oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Advanced expert knowledge of aircraft structure, materials strength and properties, design and manufacturing requirements, loading conditions, and processes.
- Experience with setting criteria for certification, testing and allowable development, loads and analysis, and creating innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Proven track record in technology development of advanced tools, processes, materials, and configurations.
- Experience mentoring early and mid-level career engineers and providing consultation/direction for other platforms, programs, or business units.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (U.S. Citizenship required).

- Level 5: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Pay
- Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
- Level 5: $154,700 - $209,300
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility and is for 1st shift.
