Lead Spray Technician
Spray Application
The Spray Technician is responsible for applying chemicals as directed.
Chemical Safety
Employees must demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to chemical safety practices.
Instruction to Crew
The Spray Technician is expected to provide clear and accurate instructions to other members of the spray crew.
Education and Experience
- Has or can obtain a Qualified Applicator Level (QAL) certification.
- Basic knowledge of plant material is preferred.
- Able to communicate in both English and Spanish – both orally and in writing.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Continuous bending, stooping, and twisting throughout the day.
- Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks, typically 5 days a week (with some overtime and weekend work required).
- Work in extreme conditions including temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit and direct sunlight exposure for extended periods.
- Work in or around situations near direct automotive traffic and near natural bodies of water.
