About the role

We are seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice. This role involves leveraging modern big data tools to solve complex business objectives, driving platform modernization, and leading cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage a variety of modern big data tools and approaches to solve complex business objectives
  • Develop and update big data platform requirements to assess client data platforms, identify gaps in technologies or processes, and provide technical recommendations on platform modernization, cloud migration, and integration
  • Design tools and services useful in cloud DevOps environments, such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers, and cloud resource creation scripts
  • Lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, workshops, and innovation sessions with clients to identify business opportunities and optimization
  • Help drive the process for pursuing innovations, target solutions, and extendable data platforms; participate in developing and presenting thought leadership

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of technical data engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with Python and SQL required (experience with Advana, Databricks, Spark preferred)
  • Experience with development tools and methodologies (Agile, GIT, test-driven development, CI/CD release management)
  • Experience with data architecture, integration, and coding/testing patterns working with existing open-source software platforms
  • Ability to lead project teams and engagements
  • Must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
