About the role

This full-time opportunity is located in Roswell, GA with a growing technology company focused on modernizing and scaling its core platform. The team is undergoing a major technology transformation, migrating from a Node.js, Vue, and MongoDB environment to a modern stack built on Go, React, and PostgreSQL. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite and offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the company's technology organization.

Responsibilities

• Leading the rewrite of a core platform
• Introducing modern technologies
• Helping establish engineering best practices
• Combining strong technical leadership with a hands-on engineering mindset
• Driving an AI-first development culture across the organization

Requirements

• Strong experience with Go (Golang)
• Strong experience with React
• Technical leadership experience leading engineering teams
• Experience architecting and building scalable applications
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
• Passion for AI-assisted software development and tools such as Claude
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical direction
• Lead and mentor a small offshore engineering team while remaining hands-on in development
• Drive the migration from a Node.js, Vue, and MongoDB stack to Go, React, and PostgreSQL
• Champion AI-assisted software development practices to improve velocity and quality
• Partner directly with executive leadership to define technical strategy and priorities
• Architect and build scalable solutions that support business growth
• Translate business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps
• Establish engineering best practices and development standards
