Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack ( Cloud Native, Microservices & AWS) ( Enterprise Platforms Technology)

As a Lead Software Engineer within Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech), you’ll drive a major transformation by leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects. The Developer Experience team focuses on building internal tools and platforms—such as Claude Code integrations, skills marketplaces, and AI-powered workflows—that empower engineers to work faster, smarter, and more effectively across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory needs.
- Share your passion for tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and mentor other engineers.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of customers.
- Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, and Python, along with open-source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience (internships excluded).
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS.
- 2+ years of experience with Docker.
- 2+ years of experience with Claude Code, GitHub, or Copilot.
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity beyond basic code completion.
Pay
The annual salary ranges for this role by location are:
- McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100
- New York, NY: $215,200 - $245,600
- Plano, TX: $179,400 - $204,700
- Richmond, VA: $179,400 - $204,700
Candidates in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with their area. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
