Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in software development
  • 8+ years of experience designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining applications in a large corporate environment
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Hands-on experience building AI Agents and leveraging AI Powered tools, RAG pipelines and LLM API's
  • Proficient in coding in one or more programming language(s): Java
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Strong AWS experience, including ECS and Lambda
  • Strong AWS networking and core services knowledge (ALB, NLB, GWLB; VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security for internet-facing APIs (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, TLS/mTLS, rate limiting).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with middleware technologies
  • Hands on AWS Services experience with ECS, Lambda Aurora Postgres
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Cloud Certification
  • Anthropic Claude Code experience
