About the role

Become a Lead Software Engineer responsible for setting the technical direction of Paramount's Smart TV applications across various platforms. Lead a team of engineers, coordinate with central video engineering, external platform partners, and Product/Design to deliver high-quality, performant applications.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction for Smart TV applications
  • Build and maintain application components using React and TypeScript
  • Lead a team of Smart TV engineers
  • Coordinate with central video engineering teams to integrate and optimize video players
  • Work with external platform partners to develop, debug, and certify applications
  • Ship real-time personalization features on Smart TV applications
  • Plan and prioritize technical work
  • Write architecture docs, RFCs, and technical guides
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and build tooling
  • Use AI development tools to move faster

Requirements

  • 8+ years writing software
  • 3+ years building Smart TV or CTV applications on web-based platforms
  • 2+ years leading a team or serving as a technical lead
  • BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with multiple CTV platforms
  • Experience with React and TypeScript
  • Experience with state management and client-side routing patterns
  • Experience with front-end fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
  • Experience with browser internals and video player integration
  • Experience with observability tools and rapid proof-of-concept experience
  • Experience with UX and user feedback

Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple CTV platforms
  • Experience with cross-platform CTV codebases
  • Experience with browser internals and rendering pipelines
  • Experience with video player integration
  • Experience with real-time event pipelines or recommendation APIs
  • Experience with observability tools
  • Experience with AI tools and rapid prototyping
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and distributed teams
  • Experience with user feedback and UX
