About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in C/C++ development on UNIX/Linux platforms to design, develop, and support mission-critical financial systems. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance applications within the FinTech domain, coupled with expertise in cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and software lifecycle management. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in solution design, and providing on-call support for production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade applications using C/C++ in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Arcitect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging modern cloud technologies and design principles.
  • Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL for high-performance transaction processing systems.
  • Participate in system design, code reviews, technical documentation, and application modernization initiatives.
  • Manage source code and release activities using Git/Bitbucket and industry-standard version control practices.
  • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide on-call support for production environments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in C/C++ development.
  • Extensive experience working in UNIX/Linux operating environments.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with Git/Bitbucket for source code management and version control.
  • Proven experience with Cloud Solution Architecture and Design.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience supporting production applications and participating in on-call support rotations.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $65,447 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Atlanta, GA. Based on the business requirements, the working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
