Lead Software Engineer
About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our software products, driving innovation, and mentoring junior members of the engineering team. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end software development process and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Build a high performing team through understanding technical capability, individual motivations, and business vision
- Understand capacity of the execution team to provide effective resourcing strategy for delivery - engage external resources as needed
- Lead technical design, architecture, and execution of solutions
- Building products in secure manner, complying with HIPAA or other security requirements
- Connect to emerging technologies in the market
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience with strong software engineering experience
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience leading technical projects or teams
- Strong Object Oriented programming skills
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with website optimization, security, and SEO best practices
- Manage server configurations and administration
- Maintain server performance, security, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance
- Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles and practices
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms and LAMP stack technologies
- Proficiency in server administration using cPanel and WHM
- Experience working with Health Plans and Health Systems
- Experience working in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of data ingestion and warehousing practices
Compensation and Benefits
- $150,000 - $180,000 + bonus + equity (depending on experience)
