About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs. They will also drive complex technology initiatives with broad impact, assist in developing standards and companywide best practices, and collaborate with key technical experts and external industry groups.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
  • Drive complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges.
  • Aid in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Guide projects and serve as a mentor to new associates.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in software or application development and engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: 5 years of experience with the software development lifecycle; experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, Mongo DB, or DB2; experience with at least 6 of the following technical skills: SAS or SQL, JAVA/J2EE, Agile methodologies, RESTful or SOAP Web Services, Anthill or Jenkins, Linux or UNIX, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and performance tuning, Urbancode Deploy, Jira, Application Logging Control tools, Maven, Oracle, or SVN, application performance, monitoring and optimization tools, Blazemeter, Splunk, or AppDynamics, API or UI design and development, automations and unit testing using Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Junit, or JMeter, application or software security web application penetration testing, secure code review, or secure static code analysis.
