About the role
The role involves leading a high-performance Agile team in developing software in Java using Object-Oriented principles and design patterns. The position focuses on creating thorough designs, understanding and working with business analysts, traders, sales, and operations groups to gather requirements, peer reviewing source code, creating/modifying SQL database objects, ensuring compliance and risk management requirements, performing thorough unit testing, and maintaining/extending supported systems and risk applications.
Responsibilities
- Create thorough designs - ensuring integration with existing architecture
- Work directly with business analysts, traders, sales, operations group to understand requirements
- Peer review source code and provide constructive feedback
- Create/modify SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.)
- Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met
- Perform high quality thorough unit testing and documentation of development activities
- Assure quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience
- Five (5) years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
- Three (3) years of relational or NoSQL DB experience
- Three (3) years of experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
- Two (2) years Capital Markets experience
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Skills
- Five (5) years of Software Engineering experience
- Five (5) years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
- Three (3) years of relational or NoSQL DB experience
- Three (3) years of experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
- Three (3) years Java development experience
- Two (2) years Capital Markets experience
