About the role
Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo's more than 70 million global customers.
This position is based in Charlotte, NC, with telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week. The role requires in-person attendance at the listed work address. Travel is not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology initiatives, including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, considering the enterprise technological environment and technical challenges.
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions, requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies.
- Influence and lead technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related position.
Skills
- 5 years of Java development experience.
- 4 years of Object-Oriented Analysis experience.
- 4 years of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- 3 years of SQL experience.
- 3 years of experience with SDLC.
- 3 years of experience with JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, and Confluence.
