Lead Software Developer

About the role

Leidos is seeking a software application developer to support a dynamic and exciting software development program. The position is part of a team supporting multiple high-profile, cloud-based projects with visibility and technical learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will have AWS experience, including secure cloud integrations, optimized cloud connectivity, and managed cloud services. This role is located in Northern Virginia with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications using Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, and/or Angular.
• Support ServiceNow and Salesforce as desirable skill sets for emerging technology.
• Collaborate with the program team to design and develop new applications and integrate solutions into existing applications.
• Analyze and solve complex application development needs, identifying potential new tools and technologies.
• Apply commanding knowledge of JavaScript software development principles and learn new skills as needed.
• Perform web application development, troubleshooting, and software upgrades.
• Work within development, test, and production AWS environments.
• Operate in a DevOps environment using Agile methodologies, with tools such as Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Nitro, Git, and Subversion.
• Mentor and guide a small agile team as a Lead Software Developer.
• Participate in development and operations and maintenance (O&M) duties to accomplish mission objectives.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, OR 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Pay

$131,300.00 – $237,350.00
